ABOUT US

After several years of volunteer work in the field of motorcyclist education in the Republic of Croatia, with the aim of improving their traffic safety, the idea of professional motorcyclist education, i.e. the Academy of safe motorcycle riding, was born.

The Academy of safe motorcycle riding is intended for both beginner and experienced motorcyclists.

Good prediction in traffic and proper reaction in unexpected situations are perhaps the most important when it comes to the safety of motorcyclists, and the best way to achieve this is additional training. Although a lot of training already takes place before a motorcyclist gets a driver's license, additional skills are not developed or practiced after obtaining a driver's license.

Lifelong training, or advanced training, is usually for drivers who already have a driver's license. Since most of this training takes place off public roads, on a special training ground, motorcyclists practice their skills in a safe environment and thus significantly improve motorcycle control (for example, crash avoidance skills).

Moreover, an additional advantage of this training is to familiarize the driver with new technologies such as, for example, ABS, which may not have existed when the driver obtained his driver's license.

This advanced training is very important to discover the answer to the question: "Where am I in terms of my driving ability?"

ABOUT MANUAL

Interest in using powered two-wheelers (PTWs) is undoubtedly constantly on the rise. There are several reasons for this trend, but it seems that the most significant ones are traffic congestion in big cities and underdeveloped public transportation systems. According to the Federation of European Motorcyclists’ Associations (FEMA), the number of PTWs on European roads has more than doubled in the last two decades.

There are multiple reasons for the use of PTWs. For some, it is linked to their work or an alternative to public transportation, while for others it is a form of entertainment or sport. korištenja motornih vozila na dva kotača.

When driving, a rider encounters dangerous situations and can make mistakes that might lead to unwanted and unnecessary consequences. These hazardous situations, or locations, can arise during the design phase of a road, later during selection of road equipment elements, and also due to inadequate road maintenance. Motorcyclists cannot control these hazardous situations but can at least partially anticipate them. However, motorcyclists themselves can also make mistakes, as a result of reduced attention, lack of knowledge, recklessness, fatigue, inexperience, or neglecting the significance and potential consequences of such mistakes. Motorcyclists can reduce the impact of such mistakes.

The best way to acquire knowledge and skills is through practical experience, actual riding, or ‘racking up the miles’. By riding, we learn from our mistakes, but it isn’t necessarily the safest way to learn. Many mistakes can be avoided before they occur, and, if they do happen, it’s crucial to know how to react.

This manual was not designed to cover every situation that may arise in real-life scenarios, under actual road traffic conditions and weather circumstances. Additionally, some things aren’t just a matter of reading – they require practical experience. However, this experience shouldn’t be gained on public roads alongside other traffic participants but rather in a specifically designated location, i.e. at a safe driving training field (polygon) under the supervision of an instructor. The primary purpose of such a training field is precisely that, i.e. practicing proper responses to dangerous situations but in safe driving conditions.

The purpose of this manual is to highlight potential mistakes made by motorcyclists and to prevent them before they occur. If these mistakes do happen, the aim is to reduce their consequences through proper reactions.

The main goal of this manual is to contribute to greater safety for powered two-wheelers.

Starting from the standpoint that there are differences among people in character, faith, nation, skin colour, the only thing common to all of us is that we only have one life. Through this guide the authors have endeavoured to alert readers to all the dangers that await them on the roads – those that can be influenced and those that cannot. The aim of this guide is for motorcylists to be as prepared as possible when encountering dangers, so that, despite any unexpected events and by applying the acquired knowledge and skills, they can safely return, alive and unharmed, to the embrace of those eagerly awaiting them at home.

Istog kluba, šire obitelji i sl. i iznosi 10%.

Ukoliko imate dodatnih pitanja,pošaljite nam upit, nazovite, pitajte.
